Culmhead House was built in 1850 and was originally set in some 500 acres of its own grounds with lakes, woods and many cottages. During World War Two the house was occupied by the American Forces who were posted at Culmhead Air Base. Today it is our home and we offer you a fairly "free to roam'' policy in our grounds and gardens which are ideal for a barbecue, with areas for children to enjoy our very popular trampoline and swings. The lawns and woods have many areas to sit and relax before or after a day out.
