Culmhead House was built in
1850 and was originally set in some 500 acres of its own grounds with lakes ,
woods and many cottages. During World War Two the house was occupied by the
American Forces who were posted at Culmhead Air Base. Today it is our home and
we offer you a fairly "free to roam'' policy in our grounds and gardens which
are ideal for barbeques, with areas for children to enjoy our very popular
trampoline and swings,. The lawns and woods have many areas to sit and relax
before or after a day out.
We are delighted to welcome you to
Culmhead House. Our suites and Camellia Room offer flexible accommodation for
families and couples who are passing through or enjoying a stay in this lovely
part of Somerset. There is so much to do within about half an hour in all
directions. We are delighted to advise you on day trips, activities and a wealth of wonderful places to eat.
The grounds are great for children and there are many
areas to sit and unwind after a days travelling. We look forward to seeing
you...........
